Hello folks out there! This is my first blog post. I am attempting to provide some common sense advice to people in search of solutions for their daily lives.
So here WE are in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. I think the best advice that I have seen so far is “Stay Calm and Move On”. I think we can augment this with my second most important mantra, “Stay Calm and Spend On”. It is imperative in these days of isolation to continue to spend as normal, (provided you’re income hasn’t been drastically cut), to stimulate the economy, which in turn, keeps money flowing to our pockets.
Spending as normal now means obtaining an emergency supply of essential goods to sustain a three week forced isolation order. Then purchase items as you normally would (daily or weekly) by the following means: 1) On-line ordering from Amazon, eBay, an on-line retailers, (both large and small, especially those that are local), 2) Order food from local restaurants to be delivered in a socially distance manner to your door. When you do this, let’s flow some money down to the roots by giving the “service tip” we give when eating in, have the restaurant pay the wait staff, and then provide a tip to the delivery driver, 3) Until the Isolation Order is issued in your community, purchase groceries from your normal store, adhering to social distancing protocol, 4) support the Arts with on-line donations to virtual performances by bands, theater production companies, and campaigns, 5) make donations to local food banks and charities; they are in desperate need of resources to provide for those in needs.
I look forward to your comments (hopefully I have this site wired to accept them), and contributions for common sense advice.
Stay Happy and Healthy!!
